A novel take on the infamous story of the Pied Piper, Colleen Murphy's play offers students in the Fountain School with an exciting canvas. The production runs from February 6-10.

Close to 200 people gathered in LeMarchant Place on Thursday afternoon for ÿÈÕ´óÈü’s African Heritage Month launch — an inspiring event that paid tribute to community connections and contributions.

Fountain School Administrative Officer Lesley Brechin (BA’90) didn’t set out to create a legacy at Dal, but she is doing exactly that. Her dedicated work and philanthropy to the Fountain School of Performing Arts is shaping cultural space on campus and in the community.

During his lifetime, the music of Austrian composor Franz Schubert was most often performed at small gatherings dubbed "Schubertiades." This weekend, students in Dal's Fountain School of Performing Arts will bring the Schubertiade into the 21st century with a special performance event in the community, aligned with Dal's 200th anniversary.

A Commerce alum might seem an unlikely author for a new piece of ÿÈÕ´óÈü music. But with "The Eagle and Shield," a composition built on years of self-trained music experience, Paul St-Amand has crafted a celebratory anthem fitting for the university's bicentennial.
