Everything Nicole MacDonald needed to complete her Bachelor of Dental Hygiene degree slotted into place sooner than she expected. The certificate in disability management was an unexpected bonus. Surprisingly, she has COVID-19 to thank.

Phillip Joy graduates this fall, moving on to become an assistant professor at Mount Saint Vincent University in the Applied Human Nutrition Department teaching several nutrition courses and building a research program with a focus in LGBTQ2SP+ communities and health.

Sister Ilaria Culshaw thought her decision to leave university to join the convent was the end of her scholarly journey. But with the encouragement of Franciscans of Halifax, she's not only completed two Music degrees in the Fountain School of Performing Arts but is on her way to Cambridge for her PhD.
